Midlands Polish community assists several local groups

Th1umber of automated sanitiser dispenser stands and wall-mounted dispensers to a number of organisations in the region.

The association said it wanted to show solidarity with the local communities in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and post-pandemic situation.

It said while the vaccine is being administered to all citizens, social distancing, application of sanitisers and wearing face coverings can still be necessary to fight the virus in the coming months.

As a result it decided to support some local organisation, particularly small ones, and donate stands with automated dispensers as well as some wall-mounted dispensers and handy bottles of sanitising liquid for those who need them. Stands have been distributed to Esker House Women’s Refuge Athlone, Monksland Town Team, Midlands Simon Community, Order of Malta Athlone and Meals on Wheels as well as some other organisation in other parts of Midlands region. Small sanitisers were also donated to Traveller Primary Healthcare Project in Longford.

The association said it was delighted to support communities and to fight the virus together! More information on www.polishcommunity.ie
