A second weather warning issued for Westmeath and Roscommon

A second thunderstorm warning in as many days has been issued by Met Eireann for a 24-hour period starting from tomorrow (Friday) morning.

Ireland is currently under a yellow-level rain and thunderstorm alert until 10pm tonight.

And from 9am tomorrow, until 9am on Saturday, another yellow-level thunderstorm warning will be in effect for 17 counties, including Westmeath, Roscommon, Longford and Offaly.

The national meteorological service said "thunderstorm activity with the risk of hail," would lead to "localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions."
