Two hospitalised after Athlone crash
Two people have been brought to hospital following a single car crash in Athlone.
It happened along the N6 bypass close to Coosan exit at 12.30am this morning (Monday) as the vehicle travelled eastbound.
A garda spokesperson said the car cleared the barrier and ended up in the green area close to the Coosan exit.
The driver and passenger were later brought to hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
