Local libraries announce extended services as more restrictions are lifted

Westmeath Libraries are now facilitating the online booking of study spaces, computers or wifi service since the latest phase of reopening of society.

It's part of an extension of services available since Monday and which also includes the return of access to the Local Studies departments in Athlone and Mullingar.

The libraries opening hours have now changed also and Athlone and Mullingar libraries are open from 10am to 5pm, Monday-Wednesday and Friday and Saturday and from 10am to 8pm on Thursday.

Moate, Kilbeggan and Castlepollard libraries are now open from 10am to 5pm, Monday-Wednesday and Friday and from 10am to 8pm on Thursday.

In order to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable visit, Westmeath Library Service is asking that users maintain physical distancing and good hand hygiene and that visits should not exceed two hours. Lenders are encouraged to use the self-service kiosks to issue and return items.

There will be a limit on the number of visitors allowed into each library at any one time. Everyone should continue to wear a face covering while in the libraries.

Surfbox printers will be available for photocopying and to collect printing ordered remotely. Visit: https://www.printcopyandgo.com/print-location-search/ to access remote printing options in your local library.

Public computers may be booked for 15 minute or 1 hour sessions. Study spaces must be booked in advance - please visit www.westmeathcoco.ie/library for details.
