HSE announces more local walk-in clinics in new push to increase vaccine uptake

The HSE has announced it will be operating additional Covid-19 vaccination clinics at centres across the Midlands over the coming week.

With infection numbers on the rise across the country, the walk-in clinics are part of a national drive to increase uptake of the vaccine.

While Ireland has a very high rate of vaccination, it's thought that there are still around 370,000 people who either not vaccinated or only partially vaccinated.

The times and dates of the upcoming no-appointment-needed vaccination clinics in Westmeath and Offaly are as follows:

Moate Community Centre, Westmeath

* Sunday, October 24: 2pm to 5pm

* Monday, October 25: 10am to 4pm

* Thursday, October 28: 10am to 4pm

* Sunday, October 31: 10am to 3pm

Mucklagh Community Centre, Offaly

* Monday, October 25: 10am to 4pm

* Tuesday, October 26: 9.15am to 5pm

* Friday, October 29: 2pm to 5pm
