ATM service restored in Mulligan's after recent removal

A widely-used ATM service at Mulligan's service station in Baylough has been restored following its removal approximately a month ago.

Bank of Ireland removed its machine from outside the Londis shop at the service station, but Mulligan's has since replaced it with a machine provided by the cash services company Brinks.

Siobhan Armstrong of Mulligan's said the popularity of the ATM at the station was made very clear to staff in the weeks after the Bank of Ireland machine was taken away.

"The ATM was even busier than we had thought because for the first couple of weeks we were inundated with people asking for it," she said.

"We do have the facility of the post office (in the store), where you can withdraw and lodge money from the Bank of Ireland and AIB, and we also offer cashback as well, so that kept us going, as such, while the ATM was gone."

Brinks was on-site to supply the new machine with cash late last week, and Siobhan said the return of the service was welcomed by customers at the store.
