Athlone artist’s 2022 calendar to raise funds for local hospice

Local artist Anna Boles has launched her 2022 art calendar, the sales of which will help raise money in support of the South Westmeath Hospice.

Anna, a Dublin native who has long been based in Athlone, has been publishing a popular series of calendars featuring her paintings of local scenes for the last five years.

Each year she picks a particular cause to support, and donates 25% of the sales income from the calendars to the chosen charity. This year, as with the 2021 calendar, the South Westmeath Hospice was selected the worthy recipient.

Anna's 2022 calendar is again priced €15, and features a selection of her favourite paintings.

In addition to the income from calendar sales, she has received sponsorship towards the 2022 calendar from a number of local businesses.

"This is great as it means I can raise more money for the hospice," the artist explained.

The calendar is on sale in more than a dozen local businesses, including Ganly's Hardware, the Athlone Towncentre Post Office, Burgess, Topline Heavin's and Euronics, Sean's Bar, Fernhill Garden Centre, the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, and Glasson Craft Gallery.
