Vincent's Athlone seeks shop volunteers

The new shop manager of Vincent’s Athlone, Fiona Craughwell, is looking to recruit a new volunteer team to work on Saturdays.

The shop has been closed on Saturdays since the first lockdown and in order to maximise the income to help people in need the shop manager is keen to get it back up and running on Saturdays.

Fiona the shop manager started thre months ago and has already reopened the upstairs of the shop, with free Wifi, tea and coffee, free pool table, library and new retro section. Fiona, a native of Athlone, is fully behind the ethos of sustainability and the circular economy. Commenting on her new job Fiona said: “I’m so excited to be working for Vincent’s in Athlone, Charity shops are so important now, not only does 100% of all the income from the shop go to help people in need but we are at the very heart of sustainability that can help the climate crisis.”

The shop urgently needs more volunteers to get open on Saturdays, so if you would like to gain experience working in a charity shop, meet new people, help people in need and the climate, please contact Fiona on 085 814 1057 or email Fiona on Fiona.Craughwell@svp.ie.
