Possible Athlone sighting of beloved dog missing for last two months

The owner of a beloved dog who went missing in Westmeath just over two months ago renewed her appeal for information today (Friday) after receiving a report of a possible sighting in Athlone early this morning.

Mariana Caran's pet, Apolo, went missing in the Milltownpass area of the county on December 14 last.

Mariana, who is offering a €2,000 reward for the return of her dog, told the Westmeath Independent that she received a report of a possible sighting of Apolo in the Ballymahon Road area of the town at 6.30am today.

She is asking anyone who sees a dog resembling Apolo not to chase him but to take a photo and to contact her as soon as possible.

Mariana said that over the last two months, "we have been receiving many leads, and we are following every lead."
