Two local Girl Guide leaders have been recognised for ten years service with the voluntary organisation.

Michaela Barrington and Fiona Duff were presented with 10 year service pins by Regional Commissioner, Caroline Flanagan (Galway) recently for their contribution to the local Girl Guides.

The presentation took place at the West and Central Midlands Regional Conference of Irish Girl Guides, held on March 5 in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel, Athlone.
