Watch: Local group on mission to plant apple trees

Athlone is in the heart of Ireland, but one local group want it be at the core as well.

Athlone Apples is on a mission to plant apple trees across the town in residential areas, parks and small patches of green space in a bid to sow the seeds of the mini-orchards of the future.

This energetic group, who are planning a Blossom Day event early next month, hope their work now will bear fruit in years ahead.
