Firefighters from Blanchardstown Fire Station assisted in the release of a kitten that had become trapped underneath a vehicle on Sunday, May 29. Dublin Fire Brigade can, on occasion, assist in an animal rescue if access or other skills are required.

The vehicle had travelled from Athlone to Dublin when the owner became aware of the animal underneath the car. It was released using airbags that lifted the vehicle to allow access. The cat is now being cared for by local residents.
