Midlands-based crime writer, Patricia Gibney

Bestselling local author is back with another gripping thriller

The Midlands-based bestselling author of the DI Lottie Parker series is back with a gripping new thriller based on the true crime conviction and acquittal of Amanda Knox in the Meredith Kercher murder case in Italy in 2007.

Patricia Gibney, who resides in Mullingar is due to release her latest novel 'The Guilty Girl' next week. This utterly gripping and unputdownable serial killer thriller is the eleventh book in the brilliant Detective Lottie Parker series.

It was the true crime conviction and acquittal of Amanda Knox, in the Meredith Kercher murder case, as well as a brainstorming session with the author's editor, that provided Patricia with some of the inspiration to write 'The Guilty Girl.'

Speaking about her latest novel, the million-selling author expressed the hope that her readers will enjoy "a few hours' escape with a challenging mystery to engage with and to discover whodunnit. I think the allure of crime fiction for readers generally is that they know there will be some sort of justice in the end, which doesn't always happen in real life."

Early reviews for The Guilty Girl say, ‘Amazing! Could not put it down and read until my eyes couldn’t cope anymore.', ‘One of the best books I have read this year… Dark, intense and definitely not what I was expecting.' and ‘Patricia Gibney is the Gold Standard for crime fiction…'

Patricia's latest novel, The Guilty Girl, will be published by Bookouture on Wednesday of next week, June 15, and will be available from Amazon, Apple Books, Kobo and Google Play.
