Rain and thunderstorm warning for part of region

Met Éireann has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for parts of this region.

The warning relates to forecast rain and thunderstorms.

The forecaster said heavy showers or longer spells of rain with thundery downpours in some places may lead to spot flooding.

The warning comes into effect at noon on Friday and expires on noon on Saturday.

It relates to Roscommon, Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Leitrim, Limerick, Mayo, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford.
