Star studded line-up for inaugural Roscommon festival

A star studded line-up has been unveiled for Roscommon's newest music festival next month.

Night & Day festival announced the full line-up this week for the inaugural event, which includes international headliners The Zutons and US singer John Grant.

There is also a strong focus on Irish talent across the musical line-up, with well known acts Villagers, Orla Gartland, Soda Blonde, The Mary Wallopers and Cathy Davey also taking to the stage.

The festival takes place on September 24 and 25 at the picturesque grounds of Clonalis House, near Castlerea, . The last large-scale music festival of the season, Night & Day is promising a fun, diverse itinerary that will entertain and engage children, parents, and friends alike, in a relaxed environment.

The festival is a strictly over 20s event, but under 12s can enter for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. A great range of family-focused activities will take place inside the spectacular walled garden at Clonalis House.

The jam-packed itinerary includes immersive circus performances, ancient instrument workshops, mythical storytelling, natural craft making, and live bog oak sculpting.

Political anoraks will also enjoy live political debates among high profile Irish politicians, policymakers and political experts.

Night & Day takes place on the autumn equinox, a time of equal periods of night and day, across three tented stages.
