A social media account which shares long-forgotten footage from television shows in times past has this week posted a nostalgic clip of the Athlone Musical Society performing a number from Grease all of 27 years ago.

There are plenty of familiar local faces to be seen in the clip, which was shared by the KillianM2 TV Archive (@KillianM2 on Twitter)

The 140-second clip has been viewed more than 4,000 times since it was shared yesterday. You can watch it here:

The performance was from an episode of RTE's Lifelines, a This Is Your Life-type show, which in this case featured Athlone's Mary O'Rourke.
