The High Kings announce Athlone date on upcoming tour

The High Kings will be performing in Athlone as part of their upcoming Irish tour.

Billed as 'The High Kings XV Tour' it gets underway in December, and includes a concert in Athlone's Radisson Blu Hotel on Friday, February 10.

Tickets for the 22-date tour of Ireland will go on sale tomorrow (Friday), at 10am, from Ticketmaster and venue box offices.

The Irish folk band, which consists of Finbarr Clancy, Darren Holden, Paul O'Brien, and Brian Dunphy, has surpassed a million listeners on Spotify and has released 2 platinum albums during their 15-year career to date.

To mark the 15-year anniversary, the group is releasing 15 new tracks, in addition to the upcoming Irish tour.

The High Kings have previously performed for US President Barack Obama, and have played at the Glastonbury and Isle of Wight festivals.

In addition to the Athlone concert, their tour will include gigs at the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan (February 4), Vicar Street in Dublin (February 5) and Leisureland in Galway (February 11).
