Limited access to Athlone car park next week due to site works

Westmeath County Council has said parking will be "curtailed" at its car park in The Strand, Athlone, next week.

The local authority said the restriction would be in place during the week commencing on Monday, October 3.

Access to the area is being limited to "to facilitate archaeological site investigation works".

The council apologised to the public for any inconvenience caused.
