Well known local pub up for sale

One of South Roscommon's best known and longest established pubs is up for sale.

Hamrock's Bar and Lounge, Brideswell is on the market with a pricetag of €398,000, a new listing from Property Partners Moore Larkin on daft.ie has revealed.

The entire property comprises of a large modern bar and separate lounge area, residential accommodation, leased commercial units and stores with further development potential.

Established in 1855, Hamrock's has long been an integral part of the local community, according to the marketing documents, and has been in operation for generations in what is described as a growing village with several new properties under construction.

Extended and completely modernised in 2002, the substantial hostelry is laid out with a large bar area to the front of the premises, separate to the bar and constructed at this time is a large, open plan lounge making the premises well suited for hosting private functions.

Outside to the rear there is a modern, marquee style beer garden, with its own bar in addition to a permanently covered seating area that is an excellent addition to the property.

In recent times, the owner developed a section of the property into two separate commercial units, that are currently under lease, the daft.ie listing detailed, adding that these units provide an additional stream of income to this family business.

Then above the bar area is the original residential accommodation. While not lived in for some time, Property Partners Moore Larkin explained in their listing that this section of the property holds great potential for an owner seeking to reside on the premises or as rental accommodation.

Also included in the sale is a large store building with further development potential.
