Brandon McPhee and Band comes to Moate’s Tuar Ard

Multi award winning accordionist and vocalist Brandon McPhee takes his show to Moate this week, with a concert in Tuar Ard Arts Centre this Wednesday night, October 12, as part of his 'A Touch of Scotland' tour.

Brandon was just ten years old when he first took an interest in music. Influenced by his Grandad he took up a 3 row button box and by the time he was 17 he had won many competitions. His first was at the age of 11, later he won three times gold at the Royal National Mod and then at 17 the Jimmy Shand shield for the ‘All Scotland Senior Accordion Championship’.

Around that time he took an interest in singing, and had vocal tuition for a while. Now in his mid 20's his voice has matured and his continued practice and dedication to music has seen him fill theatres all over Scotland. ‘Walking On The Waves’ a single he recorded with Foster and Allen, reached No 1 in the Joyce Ramgatie radio airplay chart, in 2019, and also came in at No 38 in a similar chart in Tasmania, Australia in December.

The Brandon McPhee Show is a mix of tunes and songs, some his favourites, others requested by people attending his shows. This show is a mix of Scottish, Country and Folk music with a few surprises as well. Also featuring vocals from Manson Grant and Geoff McCook, who are part5 of his five-piece band.

'There's Always Me' is his new single. It is also a track from 'Brandon McPhee - Mr. Country' the title of his new album on the Pan Record label.

This 13-track album has his new single and his first self penned single 'Let's Start Again' as well as 11 covers of country music. Brandon has to date recorded 15 CD albums and seven DVDs to his credit. All Brandon's recordings are available from www.panrecords.co.uk, /sharpemusic.com in Dungannon, as well as www.irishmusic.co.uk
