Mount Temple Drama Group is back on stage this week
After three long years Mount Temple Drama Group is finally back in action! From Wednesday, November 16th to Saturday, November 19, the group will perform 'Sharon’s Grave' by the great John B Keane in Tuar Ard Arts Centre, Moate.
Directed by Ritchie Higgins, the drama is set on an isolated headland in the southwest of Ireland in 1925, and tells the story of the Conlee family, and the bitter family feud that exists as a result of the malevolent nature of Dinzie Conlee, played by Frank O’ Rourke. With the arrival of a lonesome thatcher, Peadar Minogue, played by Vincent Lowry, the complexities of this feud become even more pronounced. Alongside this feud are the ancient tales of heroines long since passed, and a large sinkhole which bares the drama's name which is of great significance to one Neelus Conlee, played by James Rabbitte. In short, this is a drama you don’t want to miss!
The drama group is delighted to return to Tuar Ard after a three-year hiatus due to Covid-19 and has been working tirelessly to ensure a brilliant production. The group would like to say thanks its sponsors and supporters who have helped make this production a reality. They are Kieran's Foodstore, Michael Heavin Carpets, T Murray & Sons Ltd, Fr Joe McGrath, Mount Temple Community Hall and Moyvoughley Community Hall.
