TDs suffer excrement attack in Galway

Minister for Disability and Fianna Fáil TD for Galway East, Anne Rabbitte along with Galway TD Ciaran Cannon were targeted in an excrement attack at a public meeting in Gort on Wednesday night.

It has been reported that bags containing dry cow dung were flung at Minister Rabbitte and Mr Cannon.

Fellow government representatives have been quick to condemn the behaviour of the perpetrator with Deputy Barry Cowen saying: "Nobody in any walk of life should be subjected to this carry on."
