Sean's Bar receives CIE tours award for customer satisfaction
Sean's Bar in Athlone, and the ancient monastic site of Clonmacnoise, have earned CIE Tours awards for their high rate of customer satisfaction among North American visitors.
The two Midlands attractions were announced as winners of merit awards in the visitor attraction category at the recent CIE Tours Awards of Excellence.
Merit awards are presented to hotels and visitor attractions which achieved a customer satisfaction rating of 92% or higher from CIE Tours visitors to Ireland in 2022.
Declan Delaney and Timmy Donovan were present at the event to accept the award on behalf of Sean's Bar, which is recognised as the oldest pub in Ireland.
Speaking at the CIE Tours Annual Awards of Excellence event, its CEO, Elizabeth Crabill, said; "The Irish holiday experience is unique, and its popularity is very evident in the strong rebound we witnessed once international travel re-opened following the pandemic.
"Our itineraries visit many rural areas of Ireland and over many years we have helped local tourism operators to survive and thrive, creating valuable local employment."
Ms Crabill concluded by warmly congratulating this year's winners of a CIE Tours Award of Excellence on their achievements by thanking all of the company's partners who work closely with CIE Tours throughout the year.
The CIE Tours Awards of Excellence were first launched in 1990. This year's awards were presented based on post-stay feedback received from nearly 20,000 customers surveyed throughout 2022.
