As part of its excellent #OnThisDay series on Twitter, RTÉ Archives posted a video of the late, great Joe Dolan performing on the Late Late Show on February 28 1997.
Presenter Gay Byrne read out a letter from one of the singer's fans asking Gay to invite Joe onto the show.
Joe performed one of his best loved hits, much to the delight of the Late Late Show audience.
