Athlone bridge lights up for International Women's Day

Athlone's railway bridge was lit up in purple last night (Wednesday) to mark International Women's Day.

The bridge was one of a number of Irish Rail landmarks that received special lighting treatments for the occasion.

Others included Heuston Station in Dublin and the Boyne viaduct in Drogheda.
