Director of ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ Ollie Hegarty. The play is due to run from April 20 to 27 in Athlone Little Theatre.

Date change announced for Athlone Little Theatre’s next play

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Athlone Little Theatre's production of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee, and directed by Ollie Hegarty, which was due to begin on April 13, has been postponed for a week. It will now begin on April 20 and run until April 27.

Athlone Little Theatre has an early bird offer where tickets for the play will be just €12 on www.athlonelittletheatre.ie when you use the promo code EarlyBird. Offer closes on March 31.

'Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' is a twisted, poisonously funny living room comedy where alcohol consumption and games-playing are central to the plot. Its sharp-tongued script, wicked sense of humour and four outstanding individual performances makes it a must-see night of entertainment.

Although the line between truth and illusion becomes very thin at times, the play is ultimately uplifting and cathartic.
