Busy weekend of GAA action ahead
The Westmeath under 20 hurlers are preparing for a tilt with Wexford at TEG Cusack Park on Saturday (1pm) in their Leinster quarter-final, following their hugely dramatic penalty shoot out victory over Laois last Friday.
Andrew Dermody's side are at home for this key fixture and hurling fans will be hopeful of a big display against of the traditional powerhouses in Leinster.
On what is a hectic weekend of sporting action, the Westmeath camogie side will get their Leinster senior championship campaign underway when they take on Offaly at Banagher (2pm) on Saturday.
The Westmeath ladies senior footballers will travel to Clara to take on Offaly on Sunday (2pm) in the Leinster intermediate championship.
