An exciting stand up comedy night will be held in The Brazen Monkey pub in Athlone tonight (Friday, April 28).

There will be six acts performing on the night and people can expect different styles of comedy. Former wrestler turned comic Keego, local comic Alexander Ivanov who has his own podcast, 'Al Talks', Ross McCarthy, Cillian MacGabhann, Tara O'Sullivan and Jo Heffernan also known as Foul Mouth Jo. Jason Roche who previously ran a comedy show in Galway will be the MC for the event.

The comedy night will take place on Friday, April 28 in The Brazen Monkey pub.

Organiser Cillian MacGabhann said attendees can expect a lot of laughter. He noted that locals will be happy to see a bit of comedy come to Athlone as the town does not have a resident comedy club like Mullingar.
