Fleadh tractor run to bring horsepower to town centre!
There's always something exciting about a tractor run - but to see a procession of agri vehicles making their way through the town of Mullingar should take it up a notch, and that's what the Fleadh Cheoil committee have organised for this coming Saturday, May 13.
There won't be any grounds for concern that the parade will cause mayhem for local businesses as the tractor run is to be an evening event.
The registration point for participating vehicles (it's not just for tractors - all vehicles are welcome) is at the Mullingar Charity Variety Group, Forest Park (N91 E1WD).
Registration is to begin at 5pm, and at 6pm, the vehicles will leave Forest Park and head out towards Lynn and Tullaniskey.
From Tullaniskey the participants will head to the Mullingar Park Hotel, and from there, they will travel the entire way through Mullingar town, taking in the Dublin Road, Austin Friars Street, Pearse Street, Oliver Plunkett Street, Dominick Street, Patrick Street and back to Forest Park.
A highlight will be the fact that there will be prizes for the best-dressed tractor!
Spectators are welcome along the route for a great day out and all proceeds from the event go to Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Mullingar 2023.
