St Hilda's to hold 'pedal power' community cycle in Athlone this Friday

St Hilda's Services in Athlone is to hold a 'pedal power' community cycling event this Friday (May 19), as part of national bike week.

Members of the public are welcome to come along and take part in the free event at 11am on Friday. "All wheels are welcome," said St Hilda's.

Participants are asked to meet at Athlone Regional Sports Centre before setting off on a 5km cycle on the Old Rail Trail greenway.

The event is supported by Westmeath Sports Partnership and is one of several taking place in the Athlone area for national bike week.
