All eyes will now turn to Killarney for the AIMS Gala Awards on June 17 in the Gleneagle Hotel, when chairperson Joan Larkin hopes that the nominations will turn into trophies.

“CHESS was a huge show to bring to the stage, and the feedback from our audiences was overwhelmingly positive. We are so delighted to receive recognition from AIMS through these fantastic nominations," she said.

"We are so grateful for our generous and loyal patrons and sponsors who supported us again this year, without whom we could not have brought the production to the stage."

The Society is holding its AGM on May 31 and next year’s production will be announced soon.
