Perfect chemistry: Athlone student earns 100% Leaving Cert grade in subject!

The Marist College in Athlone has made a presentation to one of its former students, Kiltoom's Thomas O'Brien, in recognition of the 100% result he attained in Leaving Cert chemistry.

A student of Julie Coyle's chemistry class, Thomas submitted a flawless paper in the subject when he sat his Leaving Cert last June.

He was subsequently awarded an entrance scholarship to UCD, where he is now studying to become an actuary.

On social media, the Marist College congratulated him on his achievement and shared a photo of the presentation that was made to him by Ms Coyle and school principal Michael Dermody.
