Ballinahown Tidy Towns scoop overall award

Ballinahown Tidy Towns recently received the overall Westmeath Tidy Towns award at the Cathaoirleach Awards held in Belvedere House.

Streamstown Tidy Towns was also honoured with the Athlone Moate Municipal District Endeavour Award.

Cllr Tom Farrell presented the Tidy Towns awards on Friday, June 9.

The Tidy Towns awards are give to the towns and villages in Westmeath who have gained excellent points in the competition. The towns and villages that have scored highest and second highest in each Municipal District and the towns and villages who have increased their marks the most from the previous years national competition were recognised on the night.
