Man collects Athlone jackpot win

The winner of the €6.37m lotto windfall won with a ticket bought at Tuthills in Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone claimed his prize last week, it has emerged.

The National Lottery has confirmed that "a Westmeath man" had claimed his winnings.

A family syndicate from Donegal has also collected its €6.37 million after purchasing the winning ticket for the June 17 draw at McCarrons Village Shop at Quigley’s Point. The Donegal jackpot winners shared the €12,747,756 jackpot with the Westmeath man.

No further details are being made available of the Athlone ticketholder.

The winning numbers for Saturday’s, June 17 draw, were: 2, 3, 21, 43, 44, 46 and the bonus was 7.

Meanwhile, the National Lottery has also confirmed that a €40,000 win in Mullingar on April 1 remains unclaimed.

The winning Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 ticket was purchased on the day of the draw (1st April) at Top Oil Service Station, Longford Road, Mullingar. The player correctly matched five out of the seven winning numbers in the Lotto Plus 1 draw that evening to scoop the €40,000 prize.

The claim deadline for this prize is close of business on Friday 30th of June.
