Westmeath ladies learn fate in All-Ireland last eight
Westmeath ladies have been drawn against Clare in the quarter-finals of the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship.
As one of the group winners, Clare will have home advantage in the game which is due to be played on Sunday, July 9. The venue for the fixture has yet to be confirmed by the LGFA.
Interestingly, the last time Westmeath won the All-Ireland intermediate title, they defeated Clare at the quarter-final stage in 2021.
If Westmeath manage to overcome Clare, they will meet Antrim or Monaghan in this year's All-Ireland semi-finals.
Michael Finneran's charges lost to Antrim in the group stages, but an emphatic win over neighbours Longford was enough to secure a place in the last eight.
The All-Ireland quarter-finals are as follows:
Wexford (home) v Leitrim
Antrim (H) v Monaghan
Kildare (H) v Tyrone
Clare (H) v Westmeath.
