Tradespeople across Westmeath invited to apply to be Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2023

The renowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson competition is back for 2023 and is inviting talented tradespeople from across Westmeath to apply to be in with the chance of being crowned the ultimate champion of the trade.

Now in its 14th year, the annual award celebrates the work of tradespeople, from electricians to plumbers, builders to painters, and carpenters to roofers, highlighting their professionalism and dedication to promoting and supporting the future of the industry.

Tradespeople can put themselves forward, or can be nominated by employers, customers, or friends, by filling out the online application form at www.screwfix.ie/stt.

A selection of the best applicants will be shortlisted to take part in a semi-final interview in August, with the top ten progressing through to the Screwfix Top Tradesperson final. The final will take place at Screwfix LIVE in Farnborough on Friday, September 22, where a panel of esteemed industry experts will put the finalists through their paces.

One exceptional tradesperson will be crowned Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2023 and walk away with an incredible trade bundle worth €20,000.

Toby Peacock, an electrician from Cambridge, is the reigning champion after winning Screwfix Top Tradesperson in 2022. He was joined by Aaron Joyce, who also made it to the 2022 final and had this to say: “The competition process from start to finish was so exciting. Getting to the final and meeting other tradespeople with the same passion for their respective trades was a great experience. Screwfix has really given me a platform to continue to grow and the exposure has been a game changer.
