Mother and four children found safe and well

Gardai have confirmed that a Roscommon woman and her four children who were the subject of a missing persons' appeal are safe and well.

Gardaí earlier in the week had sought the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Martina Ward (32 years) and her children Charlie Carthy (5 years), Edward Carthy (4 years), Tom Carthy (2 years) and Emily Carthy (10 months), who had been missing from their home in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon since Wednesday, June 28.

Martina and her children were last seen on Main Street, Swords on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 5.

Gardai this evening said they had been located safe and well and thanked the public and the media for their assistance.
