Athlone woman on World Championship winning pool team

Local woman Danielle Greasley was part of the Irish Ladies Pool Team that won the WEPF World Team Shootout 2023 last Sunday, July 9.

The WEPF (World Eightball Pool Federation) World Championships took place last week in Agadir in Morocco, where the Irish Ladies Team made history by defeating the host nation 5-2. Ireland are the first champions of this new format.

The Irish Ladies Team were ranked 5th coming into the tournament.
