Columbarium wall installed at Ballyglass Cemetery

A columbarium wall to house human ashes has been installed at Ballyglass cemetery.

The news has been welcomed by Cllr Bill Collentine, who has been advocating for the installation of a columbarium for a number of years.

"I am delighted that Westmeath County Council have installed a new columbarium wall in Ballyglass Cemetery in time for Cemetery Sunday on July 30.

"The installation of this wall has been a long term project of mine following various representations to me by local constituents.

"Its installation now gives bereaved families an alternative space in which their loved ones ashes can be interred. This is an important installation for the people of Mullingar and beyond of all faiths and traditions," he said.
