New Connacht kit is greener than you think!

Connacht Rugby, in partnership with Intersport Elverys and Macron, have revealed their home kit for the 2023/24 season.

The jersey is made from Macron’s ‘Eco Fabric’ – a polyester design that derives from recycled plastic, which further adds to the green message at the heart of this kit launch.

The design of the new Connacht kit features a sophisticated and exclusive graphic design revolving around two contrasting shades of green. The central front and back body of the jersey is in dark green and depicts, in an abstract and geometric manner, the feathers that feature in the team’s distinctive logo.

The design also continues in a lighter green on both sleeves "and with a shaded effect to give the jersey a sense of fluidity and depth" according to the Connacht Rugby press release.

Commenting on the launch of new Connacht home jersey, Ross Cook, Senior Sports Manager at Macron, said: "We’re delighted to bring this new Connacht Rugby ‘green’ jersey to the market. When we say ‘green’, we’re not only talking about the design, but also a ‘green’ message of sustainability and respect for the environment that it contains, thanks to use of our Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester from recycled plastic."

Philip Staunton, Head Buyer, Team Sports at Intersport Elverys said: "We’re delighted to continue our partnership as retail partner for Connacht Rugby as the province looks to build on last year’s successful season. The excitement is elevated by the introduction of Macron who are producing inspiring and innovating pieces for supporters across the province and around the globe."
