A new 'Symbols of Subject' art exhibition was officially launched in Athlone's Luan Gallery last night (Wednesday.)
The exhibition feature select works from acclaimed contemporary Irish artists from the TUS modern art collection as well as contributions from emerging designers and visual artists from TUS' graduating class of 2023.
Speaking at the launch, TUS President Prof. Vincent Cunnane said he hopes the exhibition will inspire students to "explore their unique voices, challenge conventions, and bring fresh perspectives to the table."
Symbols of Subject marks the first time works from TUS’s modern art collection, which is usually on display throughout the corridors, lecture halls and open spaces of our Athlone campus, will be exhibited outside of the university setting.
The exhibition is open to the public until Thursday, November 16.
