Man injured following reports of public order incident

A man has been injured in Athlone town today.

According to the Garda Press Office, Gardaí responded to reports of a public order incident around 1.30pm today (Wednesday).

"A man in his 30s was injured in the course of the incident and was brought to the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore for treatment," the statement said.

"There is no further information available at this time."
