Summerhill school expansion plans unveiled
Work on the provision of an additional classroom and two Special Education rooms at a South Roscommon primary school is due to get underway.
Details of the planned extension were recently published on the government's eTenders contracting website, with the final date for the receipt of tenders listed as October 18.
In addition to one additional classroom and two Special Education rooms at the school, lthe plans also include a link corridor, the provision of additional car parking (including disabled parking), an extension to the footpaths around the proposed extension, and the diversion of existing sewers to facilitate the construction.
The new classroom and the two SET rooms are to be constructed as part t of a single storey extension on the site of the current school in Drum.
The duration of the contract is eight months, and the details posted on the eTenders website state that the contract was due to start on November 17 last and be completed by June 17, 2024.
