Athlone pharmacy technician graduates at Dublin event

Athlone was represented at a graduation ceremony for pharmacy technicians which took place at the RDS in Dublin on Monday last.

Organised by the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU), the event was the graduation for all pharmacy technicians who successfully completed their course in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Among the graduates on the day was Laura Samuels, who works at Whyte's Pharmacy in Arcadia, Athlone, and who successfully completed the two-year Pharmacy Services Diploma Level 3 course.

Laura was presented with her certificate by Dermot Twomey, President of the IPU, and Derek Reilly, the union's Acting Secretary General.

The IPU congratulated all of the new pharmacy technicians and wished them the very best for a long and successful career.
