Tickets selling fast for 'Magic of Christmas' charity concert in Ballinasloe

At the time of writing only a limited number of tickets remained for a charity Christmas concert which is being organised by talented Ballinasloe singer Rachel Goode in her home town on Wednesday, December 20.

The 'Magic of Christmas' event at the Town Hall Theatre will see Rachel backed by a full band, with special guests Sean Keane and Ger O'Donnell.

It will raise money for Ballinasloe Social Services and East Galway and Midlands Cancer Support Centre.

The concert will get underway at 8pm, but before then there will be entertainment from 7.30pm with the Ard Scoil Mhuire Trad Group.

There will be a tea, coffee and mulled wine reception on arrival at what promises to be a memorable night of festive music and song.

Rachel has organised a number of similar events previously. Last year's event, which was held in the Shearwater Hotel and also featured Sean Keane as a special guest, was a sell-out.

Rachel is currently working towards the release of her debut folk album and she released a single from it, The Moon Above the Fields, last month.
