St Peter’s learn FAI Junior Cup fate

St Peter’s have been drawn against Villa FC of Waterford in the last 32 of the FAI Junior Cup.

The Athlone club will have to travel to their Waterford opponents which will add to the difficult of the assignment.

The draw was conducted at FAI HQ yesterday (Monday) and all the fifth round ties are scheduled to be played on the week ending Sunday, January 21, 2024.

St Peter’s are the only club from the midlands to have reached the fifth round.

Clare’s Avenue United, who knocked out the holders Newmarket Celtic earlier in the competition, have been drawn away to Tallaght United.

Among the other ties are Westport United vs Evergreen of Kilkenny and Mervue United vs Letterkenny Rovers.
