Local motor dealer honoured by Suzuki Ireland
Local car dealer Hugo Loonam was honoured by Suzuki Ireland in December.
The Cloghan-based motor dealer was awarded a long service accolade at the 2023 Suzuki Dealer of the Year Awards
The annual event, which gathers representatives from across the country’s 24 dealer network, recognises dealerships that have exceeded their goals and gone the extra mile to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
This year, the annual dealer conference was held at Glasson Lakehouse, and the trophies were presented by four Directors from Suzuki who are Takanori Suzuki, Dale Wyatt, Martin Lloyd and Denis Houston.
Presenting the awards, Takanori Suzuki comments: “We would like to congratulate our winners for their fantastic achievements, and all dealers across Ireland who have worked so hard for our brand during the last 12 months, especially as we sold a record 2,000 units in the Republic.
Without this high level of commitment, Suzuki would not be in the position that it is now with such a strong sales result. We are very proud of our network here and look forward to enjoying further success together during 2024, starting with the launch of our all-new Swift model next Spring”
2,000 Suzuki vehicles sold in Ireland this year translates to a 1.7% market share and with the majority of those sales going to private individuals, customer service is at the heart of the Suzuki dealership experience. This figure represents a much higher proportion of Private retail sales in Ireland versus the industry average.
Five awards were presented by Suzuki including a 10-year Long Service accolades for Hugo Loonam.
