Concern debating team reach All-Ireland quarter final stage

Congratulations to the Coláiste Chiaráin Concern Debate team who have made it through to the quarter finals of the All Ireland competition defeating Bandon Grammar School, Cork.

They successfully upheld the motion that "In the age of social media activism, young people often prioritise virtue signalling over genuine commitment to social change." The team on the day were Éle McCarthy, Aimee Plunket, Antoni Wawrzyniak & Keela Plunket, Chairperson, Leah Dunne and timekeeper, Aaron Hurley. Well done to the team who will now face Largy College, Monaghan in the quarter final in Dublin on March 12.
