Moate Town Team to host 'keep our town safe' information event

A public information event entitled, 'Keep Our Town Safe and Healthy' will take place in Moate later this month.

Representatives of An Garda Siochana, the Midland Regional Drug and Alcohol Taskforce, and the fire service are due to be in attendance at the event which is being held in the Carmelite Pastoral Centre at 7.30pm on Monday, April 29.

The event is being organised by the Moate Town Team's law and order committee.

It said attendees would have an opportunity to ask questions after hearing from the speakers representing the Gardai, the fire service, and the drug and alcohol taskforce.

"The town team is encouraging everyone who is concerned about crime in our communities to attend," it said.

"The event will be suitable for secondary school age children and upwards."
