Footpath improvements in Cornamaddy welcomed

Fianna Fáil Cllr Frankie Keena has expressed his delight at securing funding of €10,000 for footpath provision and repairs in Cornamaddy.

"After receiving representations from the local residents about the poor state of the paths, I immediately contacted the council to carry out the necessary repairs.

"In fact, there were about twelve metres of a gap with no footpaths at all. This was a severe health and safety issue that needed to be addressed," he said.

"I secured the funding under the 2024 roads programme to carry out this work. Now, I am delighted to say that the necessary repairs works is near completed. The end result will be of major assistance to local residents and visitors to the area," Cllr Frankie concluded this week.
